Mr. Igor Jevtić was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated in 2003 from the University of Sarajevo with a degree in mechanical engineering. In July 2003, he began work in the maintenance department of the FMSN special purpose engines factory. In May 2007 he was appointed senior official for drafting and implementing international agreements in the Department for Environmental Protection at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In January 2014 he was appointed advisor to the minister and in January 2015 he returned to his post as senior official for drafting and implementing international agreements. His work focuses on environmental protection and the development of the Agenda 21 Environmental Strategy; cooperation with international institutions and organisations regarding environmental protection and the enforcement of international agreements; analytical and academic issues related to the preparation of laws and regulations in this area; monitoring the implementation of international conventions; cooperation with relevant entity ministries regarding the preparation of reports and the provision of information to international bodies in charge of the enforcement of international agreements in BiH; and, where necessary, other duties within the jurisdiction of the department.
