Ms. Jovana Žarić holds an MSc in biodiversity and a BSc in biology. As senior adviser at the Environmental Protection Agency her tasks are related to strategic environmental assessments. She has six years' experience working in the field of environmental protection, including the evaluation of strategic environmental assessment reports and environmental impact assessment outputs for use in strategies, plans, programmes and projects.

Since June 2014 she has been a member of the task force monitoring procedures for the strategic environmental assessment and environmental impact assessment of the programme for the offshore exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Montenegro. She is also a member of the working group for negotiations with the European Commission on Chapter 27 of the acquis (Environment) within the industrial pollution group, with responsibilities related to environmental management systems and the Eco-management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
