I have used this hotel the last 4 times into Lubbock. There are closer ones to the job site but not as comfortable, friendly, helpful, lounge on site. Closeness to local convenience stores. I know the neighborhood around the hotel isn't the best but the property is in need of a major exterior face-lift. It's very run down and just not up to the standards of the Best Western we're accustomed to. Felt very uncomfortable about the safety of our vehicles. There's s everywhere reminding us that the hotel isn't responsible for theft, vandalism, damages, ect.. I recommend investing in a security fence around the grounds to make guests feel safer.

Everything else about the stay was pretty average. On Saturday, a whole gaggle of "Little League kids" checked in and the noise from the second floor for several hours was bad secondary to running around in the hallways. I would guess it was kids and not sure if it was the little league kids or not. Breakfast area is limited and not great. I would not stay here again because it is older and it appears that it is worn out from it's days as a former Best Western property from from days gone by.

We were traveling with pets and called to see if they were pet friendly and they claimed that they were. When we arrived and went to check in to our room they didn't know how to accept a gift card and had to put a hold on my debit card and took until morning to figure out how to use a gift card and was told that the funds would immediately be returned to my .

The next morning I went to check out and have them use the gift card to return the hold back to my bank . Once I got to the front desk and was changing back to the gift card he told me that I had not payed the pet deposit which I had. Also, during the night my dog had an accident and we had to use the towels to clean up the mess and at checkout was told that the mess had stained the towels and that I would be charged a fee.

They were extremely rude and had little respect for their customers. The room appeared to be clean when we got there. After walking around barefoot for awhile my feet became black on the bottom. The floor was filthy. We didn't notice this until we were going to bed. I had to clean my feet before going to bed. We were too tired to complain.
